The Art of Mental Intentionality

Nikola Tesla once proclaimed “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” A profound statement that continues to resonate with truth seekers, mystics and scientists alike.

This very sentiment finds deep roots within the ancient Hermetic teachings. The first Hermetic Principle - The Principle of Mentalism, affirms All is mind; the universe is mental.

While the third Hermetic Principle - The Principle of Vibration, declares Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.

Together, these teachings invite us to grasp a vital realisation, the world we experience is not happening to us, but through us. Our inner state: our thoughts, emotions and intentions broadcasts an energetic signature and reality, one we know to be ever faithful, responds accordingly.

To visualise this, consider how dolphins and whales navigate the vast oceans. Using echolocation, they emit frequencies from within their nasal passages. These sound waves travel through water, bounce off surrounding objects and return to the sender. Through this mechanism, they perceive their environment, find food and communicate with remarkable precision.

Humanity, too, has mirrored this through technology manifesting as sonar and radar systems for submarines, ships and aircrafts.

But beyond machines and marine mammals, we too are performing this very act, constantly through our thoughts. Each thought carries a frequency, shaped and coloured by the emotional weight we assign to it. Thoughts of gratitude, love and joy vibrate at a high frequency; while thoughts rooted in fear, resentment or scarcity echo at a much lower frequency.

These mental vibrations are not idle they ripple into the fabric of the universe, interacting with what Quantum Physicists might call the field and what Mystics have always known as the unseen realms. In return, the universe reflects back the essence of our projection.

Thus, the quality of our experience is, in part, a mirror of our internal broadcast. This is where the true art of mental intentionality begins.

To live intentionally is to become the conscious architect of your reality. It requires accountability for what you dwell on, what you believe and what you repeatedly feel. It is the foundation of authentic manifestation not a fleeting trend, but a sacred science grounded in mental discipline.

Meditation becomes a crucial practice in this process. It is not merely a method for stillness, but a tool for alignment. Through meditation, we sharpen awareness, recalibrate our frequency and return to the truth: that everything physical is preceded by the mental. To master your mind is to master your world.

Thank you for taking the time to read the above, may the below passage too, serve you well.
